LX450/ Milford Cargo Barrier Axe Mount:
My nifty Estwing Camp Axe mounted on the
Milford Cargo Barrier. It is secure, out of harm's way and out of sight in the
driver's rear-view mirror.
Close-up of the axe head mount. The bracket
is 1/8" and 3/16" x 1" mild steel stock, crudely welded into a shape that will
clamp tightly onto the mesh of the barrier. I used rubber strips to prevent
chipping the powder coating and stainless hardware to stop rusting. I am not
much of a welder - I thought the argon was turned on, but it was actually not
flowing. That explained the crappy welds. Thank goodness for air grinders and
black paint. Anyway, no one will notice but me ;)
