LX450 Auxiliary Power Outlets
This mod replaces the ash tray with a couple of steel body power outlets. With the OEM outlet this gives you three across in a handy place on the dash. There is a narrow gap at the bottom which provides a handy cavity to stow excess power cable for a gps or detector.... I'm sorry but I have no pics of the installed mod.
A 10 amp inline fuse holder supplies power and is
spliced to the existing power wire to the OEM outlet. The mounting bracket is
2x2 aluminum angle cut to fit, and screwed into the existing ash tray receptacle
(bracket).
A small red LED shows that the outlets are powered up. The lettering is 1/8 inch
white transfer letters covered with several very thin coats of clear lacquer
spray to prevent them from coming off. Avoid piling on the clear coat or the
letters will wrinkle!
