LX450 Yokohama Geolander I/T+ Snow Tires
When you are running 33s or larger tires, it is very hard to find decent winter rubber that big. These snow tires are unusual in they they are offered in 33 and 35 inch diameters. I mounted a set of 285/75R16s and they match my summer tire diameter perfectly. They grip very well except on wet sheet ice, and they are smooth and quiet.

Many winters ago I mounted the snow tires on my old
corroded Lexus wheels, and bought refinished Land Cruiser wheels for my summer
tires.
Spokane received 6.5 feet of snow in about 3 weeks
during December 2008. Those without snow tires and AWD were virtually helpless.
I carried a set of chains and a shovel just in case, but only got stuck once
through sheer stupidity when I tried to drive across a very deep snow berm and
got high centered.
