Images, Articles,
Bookmarks - Legal Stuff
The personal images
and articles on
this website are NOT copyrighted. The
logos for other websites might be protected, but ownership is obvious.
I have labeled all images sourced from the Internet as to legal owner,
to the best of my ability. I will promptly remove any of them if
requested by the author or owner, since I definitely don't want to step
on anyone's toes, legally speaking.
Personal
Images and Articles: I DO LIMIT who can link directly to my
personal images and technical articles from another website. This is
called Hotlink Protection, and I am able to
add sites to my Exclusion List to allow remote linking (from one of my
posts in an Adventure Rider forum, for example). If you view one of my personal
images or articles which was originally posted BY ME
either here or at another website such as KTMTalk, you may
certainly save, print or otherwise keep it for ANY personal use, but
there shall be no attempts to direct link here from an unauthorized website,
PLEASE! It probably will fail, anyway.
Want to
Hotlink?: If you wish to hotlink to
one or more images on my site, contact me and I would be very happy to
discuss it. Otherwise, get lost and go buy your own digital camera...
Links:
You may copy links to other websites, but please do not abuse this by
copying an entire list of my "special tech" links, for example, and
reposting them on your own website. This just isn't nice, and it has
happened ;(
Full-sized
images: If you are interested in a
full sized "original" version of a reduced -size web image, contact me
and I "might" be able to get it to you. Sometimes I don't save
originals.
Bookmarks:
I prefer that you bookmark an Index page since the other pages can and
WILL change, and you may not be able to find it in six months (I'm
always fiddling here). I'll leave it up to you ;)
Thank you. I appreciate
constructive comments.

"HotLink
protection prevents other websites from directly linking to files (as
specified below) on your website. Other sites will still be able to link
to any file type that you don't specify below (ie. html files). An
example of hotlinking would be using a <img> tag to display an image
from your site from somewhere else on the net. The end result is that
the other site is stealing your bandwidth."
